Is black the new red?

I wanted to get my head red, not flaming red but just tint of redness which can be visibly seen without strong light.
but to my dismay, black has become the new red.

pretty sadified coz most of the time, it looks damn black.
it wouldn't be too bad if i'm fair.
but unfortunately, i'm not. =(
and my original hair colour wasnt even this black. sob!

i need to get some streaks of highlight to get rid of this heavy looking crown.

i woke up yesterday with a mishap.
